Principles of haemodialysis

Haemodialysis is the treatment that is most often prescribed for patients with kidney failure. These patients have dialysis 3 times per week. Dialysis replaces three important functions of the human kidneys: cleaning the blood by removing harmful waste products, removing excess fluid, and balancing electrolytes.
